Akash Naik / A Kathak dancer and poet in Mumbai

An excellent artiste turned poet

Recently, one of our editors came across Mr.Akash Naik at The Club, Mumbai at Andheri during an event - "Different Strokes". Mr. Nayak was one of the seven poets who participated in the poem recital program. In our talk with him in the sidelines of the event it came out that Mr. Naik has been an excellent artiste in Kathak who is presently focusing on poetry.  

ઝંખના.  આકાશ નાયક.

ભૂરા આભમાં વહેતી વાદળી

લીલુંડી વાડી ને કથ્થઈ પંથે

ચાલ ચકરાવે ગુમ્યો 

કશે ના આવ્યો પવન ફરફરતો

સ્મિત શોધે ખુલ્લાં આકાશમાં

શાંત બની.

Clouds are roaming 

In blue sky

Green grass garden and 

Dark brown road to walk 

Life is moving in a circle.

Wind has lost its directions

Here life Comes in search of smile.

Without sounds.
